Barrett Cards

We were just invited to a birthday party and I had to share this amazing card with you J My sister-in-law did this for both of my daughter’s birthdays this year and I thought it was such a great idea! If you want to jazz up a little girl birthday card, add some pizazz to some invitations, or add detail to any card for any reason; this is the way to go. It's such a cute and simple idea!!!

Just find some cute clips at your local store and voila! Hair clips can be found just about anywhere--A specialty store, department store, or even the dollar store! I put together a few cards to give you an idea J Happy gifting!

Husband Gift Basket

I don’t know about you, but my husband seems to be always working! He has a great work ethic and quite honestly, I think he likes the ‘guy time’. Anyway, even when he’s home he’s trying to get something done with little to no rest! SO, I made him a couch potato basket!! Silly? Maybe, but this is my not-so-subtle hint of telling him to slow down, ha! It’s a great gesture to show your man how much you care J So……grab a basket and start filling it with goodies!

Some wonderful ideas would be:

·         Dvd’s/Games/Music

·         Remote Controls

·         Snacks (i.e. chips, candy, beef jerky, sunflower seeds, etc.)

·         Beverages (i.e. beer, soda, water bottle, etc.)

·         Slippers or Warm Socks

·         Crossword Puzzles or Sudoku

·         Magazine/Book

·         Something Homemade

***If there are any more ideas out there please let me know!

And here is the link to the clip art I used. I just copy & paste to word and add a text box that says “Be A Couch Potato” you can find it here. Happy Crafting!

~Cinderella Sunday!~

Hi All! Because it’s Sunday, I thought I’d start the blog off with something new I implemented in our home. My two girls are OBBSESSED with princesses, so what better way to convince them to help me clean? Cinderella Sunday! No not a wicked Mommy….when everything is done, they get to choose an outing as a reward (the ball) like a restaurant, movie, the park, etc. And they can dress up if they like ;) We actually have fun!
Most of these items were found at the dollar store and they cost me $5 each to assemble! The mini utility carrier, spray bottle, duster, mini hand-held broom and baby wipes (I don’t like letting them using wipes with the chemical in them). Then I had sponges and microfiber cloths here at home that I threw in extra. And you can’t forget a white glove to test dirty areas!
**Reader’s Caution: The glove is optional. It has actually seemed to backfire on me and I find my girls suggesting I re-dust over and over and over again, ha! :) Happy Cleaning!!
